Praise Be Unto Our Jesus!!!
He is our all in all. We just finished Thanksgiving in America and I pray all had as wonderful a time as Sheila and I.
We were blessed to have all our children and their spouses, as well as all our grandchildren under one roof sharing life together. We all can say, thank you to our Father in Heaven for allowing us to receive of the single most important thing a human will ever do…. He has allowed us to receive eternal life through his Son….no matter what we or the grand’s ever accomplish in this life, it will never even come close to the “Great Gift of God bestowed upon our lives.” So yes, we all are very, very, very, thankful, not only on this day but on every day. The world would try to steal this from us all and cause us to live in fear and anxiety, but once again Praise Be Unto Our Jesus!!!
Praying you all would take this into your hearts as we begin the Christmas Season…Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas. Doesn’t that sound wonderful! Go forth praising our Lord for all He has done, all that He is doing and all that He will ever do through our yielded lives unto Him…. I am also praying for “Holy Boldness” to come upon us so we can be a beacon of light to our communities of darkness around us. Thank you Father, Thank you Father, you are a Good, Good Father to us all, AMEN! Keep praying for all the needs of Hope to be met by our brothers and sisters in Christ, love you all. Blessings and Life! In Christ, Joe

Season’s Greetings and Blessings to all, may we remember why we have this season. Christ as a baby came to rescue us from our sins, died for us and said it is finished. As we go through this season, keep this in the forefront of your thoughts and in your heart.
God is love, so as we go through the seasons of our life that he has planned, let us remember every day of our life has already been written in His book of life.
After all the season festivities are over we are having Ryan’s Hope 5K Run/walk on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 8:00 AM at Castaway Point Park, 2990 Bay Blvd NE, Palm Bay, Fl 32905, so be sure to get signed up. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2Peter 1:3-4

For the past few weeks, I have been pondering these two verses. Many years ago I was told that the Bible has over 8,000 promises encapsulated between its front and back cover. This promise tells me that it actually is possible to live in this corrupted sick world without being yanked down into that destruction and corruption. I tell people all the time that drugs and alcohol are all around us; but with God’s help we can live free from all the temptations that have the potential to destroy us. As a believer we can choose to live in freedom and not in fear, guilt or defeat. Many of the people I see in my office are believers, but they are not experiencing the abundant victorious Christian life. Many are living in total defeat as they hide behind religion. I am totally convinced that victory is not only reachable it is the path that God has mapped out for each of us. We have the power to overcome Peter says. The question is…do we have the desire to be overcomers. Please pray for the many believers who are living defeated lives as their enemy keeps them in bondage. For those who really want victory it is within their grasp. Pray for them that God opens their eyes to His truth and His power.

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare of the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I am trusting Him, for He will rescue you from every trap, and protect you from the fatal plague. He will shield you with His wings. He will shelter you with His feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. PSALM 91; 1-4

(Seeing your TRUE WORTH through GOD’S EYES)
This study will focus on how our thoughts affect our emotional, relational and spiritual development. Our feelings, behavior, and beliefs all interact to shape our lives. The goal is to enable a wide range of people to apply the Scriptures specifically and deeply to real issues in their lives. There are two possible options we can choose to determine our self-worth. The world’s system: Self-Worth=Performance (what you do + Other’s Opinions) (what others think or say about you). God’s System: Self-Worth = God’s Truth about You. God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. EPHESIANS 1: 3-4. Call Linda Dixon at Hope Ministries

Codependency (in its broadest sense) can be defined as "an addiction to people, behaviors, or things.”
Codependency is the fallacy of trying to control interior feelings by controlling people, things, and events on the outside. To the codependent, control or the lack of it is central to every aspect of life. God wants us to have healthy relationships with a balance between being dependent and independent. The most effective means for overcoming codependent relationships is to establish a relationship with Christ Himself.
Ladies, let’s take this healing journey together from Codependency to interdependence with God the one with the power to bring it about. Call Linda Dixon for appointment at Hope Ministries at 321-676-5588, Monday-Wednesday between 9-4PM.
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor. Numbers 6: 24-26

Barbara and I want to thank all of you involved with Angel Tree this year. Because of you, whether it was through one of the many churches involved throughout the county, or through individual purchases, over 800 children in the county will have a Christmas knowing how much their absent parent loves them.
We are in the middle of the busiest time of year; not only with Angel Tree, but with the many fun things that the end of the year brings; annual board meetings, end of the year contribution letters, and taxes. In the midst of it all, we know that we’re blessed. We are able to continue with the mission, which God has appointed us, because of your prayers and support. Praying you all have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.

I have completed my autobiography “God Touched Me-A Life Radically Changed.” It is in the hands of my publisher.
I am very happy to have completed it and pray that it will bring spiritual encouragement to many. I will retire at year end from my role as Chaplain for the Melbourne Fire Department. I pray that God will bless you with his generous love, Dick Phelps
