Praise Be unto Jesus!!
I would like to thank all the awesome volunteers that joined in to make the third annual fund raiser a super success on March 16, 2013. I thank GOD for all of you! The love of sharing shows the world that we are His disciples and may HE receive all the glory, honor, power and praise through our surrendered lives unto HIM in all that we do.....Sometimes you meet someone very special in your life and you know that GOD placed them there for such a time as this. PEGGY is one of those; she is God send, for HOPE Ministries. May her child like Faith continue to blossom not only for Hope but in all things she puts her heart towards. Now for Peggy, the volunteers, sponsors and contributors, I would like to pray the priestly prayer found in the Book of Numbers Chapter 6 and verses 24-26
May the Lord Jesus bless you and keep you May the Lord Jesus make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you May the Lord Jesus turn His face toward you and give you peace, Amen

Spring has Sprung! Praise the Lord!
In the natural, we say that April showers bring May flowers. We see it happen before our eyes and we believe it.
When seeds receive nourishment from the rains and the sun, seeds will bloom after its kind. This process seems so uncomplicated. When it comes to the Spiritual life, we are the ones who make it complicated.
We, as Christians stepping out in faith, have received the River of Living Water and the Light of the Son Of God.
In exercising our faith, we believe he will do the work in us and we will bloom into the person he created us to be.
Therefore, let us rest in His word and lean not on our own understanding. He is the Author of everything. The sun, the rain, was all established by and through Him. He is our everything!
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4

Lew Gervais/ Addictions/Pastoral Counselor
By the time most people come into my office for help they have destroyed every meaningful healthy relationship in their life as a result of their drug habit; also carrying a lot of baggage from their past that they have managed to avoid dealing with by staying high. Such was the case with this young mother of four who first came in my office a few months
ago. While she was in detox she surrendered her life to Christ and decided with God’s help, to stop running, and face the demons of her past. Usually by the time these addicts darken my door they have already lost all hope of ever climbing out of the cesspool they have created for themselves. My first task for this young mother was to give her HOPE that she and her children will get through this storm and come out intact and sane on the other side. She is looking at the possibility of up to 14 years in prison for her past arrests in another state, and the lawyer she hired to represent her a few months earlier said he was dropping her as a client, thereby leaving her defenseless, penniless and helpless. With no income, nowhere to live, and no one to represent her in court she struggled to see how God could possibly pull this all together. Even though she had remained clean from drugs for over three months she was still at a very low place in her life. We at Hope Ministries were able to help her get into a temporary domestic abuse shelter for abused women and children, and also to help her secure a place for her at His Mansion, (a long term Christ-centered rehab program in New Hampshire). In the weeks that followed God opened the way for her to find a friend who would be willing to take care of her children whether she ends
up at His Mansion or in prison. On several occasions she would call my office depressed and ready to give up. In one of those dark times she told me that she just wanted to go to prison so that she didn’t have to worry about anything for ten or more years. Through some of our friends in recovery, we were able to collect enough money to get her and her children to the state where the kids would be living and where she had to appear in court. When she finished getting the kids settled into school and signed over to her friends for temporary custody she went to face her lawyer. When the lawyer saw that she was drug free and determined to do the right thing he changed his mind and decided not only to keep her as a client; but he agreed to do it completely pro-bono. She floated out of his office knowing that all of this was a God-thing. She knows now that God is in control and whatever happens to her at court next month is OK with her. She is now at peace with her past her present and her future. She knows that God hasn’t brought her this far just to abandon her.
Please pray for God’s will to be done for the life of this young family.
Last week I also had the honor of standing in court to represent another young mother who is now petitioning the court to regain custody of her child from her parents; to hear her parents testify that their daughter has done very well for the past 15 months and they are confident she is capable of raising her own child now. This is a mother who has overdosed at least six times in the past six years and had been pronounced dead on several occasions. So to witness this event just made my day. I praise God for his walking miracles. Thank you for your financial and prayer support, Lew
Co-dependency Group Study
FROM BONDAGE TO BONDING
By Nancy Groom
This is a faith based study; 16 weeks. Wednesday from 5:30 – 7pm Facilitator: Linda Dixon
SAVIOR COMPLEX (Under the guise of Love)
The real detriment of Co-Dependency is to rob another of their right (God given Free Will) to walk the path God has given them and the consequences that involves; which allows them to know themselves and most importantly to bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
The one and only Savior with the Power to change and Heal anyone’s Heart & Life!
We are growing in number and in spirit. This is a wonderful study and we are truly being blessed with
the Love and Hope of God.
