Praise Be unto Jesus!!

May HE receive all the glory, honor, power and praise through our surrendered lives unto HIM!
HE is our all in all, for in Him we live and move and have our being!
May I take this time to say “MERRY CHRISTMAS” and a “HAPPY NEW YEAR”!

This has been quite a year of battles, and victories for Hope Ministries.
GOD our Father has blessed us as we are preparing for our Second Annual Fundraiser
being held at the Knights of Columbus Bldg, 2150 Dairy Rd, Melbourne, Fl, on January 15, 2012, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.Tickets are $15.00 Each or Two for $25.00, and may be purchased at Hope Ministries, on our Facebook Page or at the door.

We have door prizes, dinner, and silent auction gifts provided by a multiple of businesses throughout our communities. Thank you all for the valuable gifts to be auctioned. Thank you all for your donated time of preparation. Thank you all for attending and participating to make this event a success. Let us know if you would like to volunteer for this event. It is a great fun filled way to help support this ministry for another year by attending on January 15. Everyone who attended last year’s event remembers how we had to work hard at giving away ALL the raffle gifts that were donated. How God is that!

We, the Staff at Hope Ministries, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all that you have done for us. Please remember that with all your prayers and donations you are helping us to
"Help Hearts Heal". In Christ, Joe

Our precious grandson, Cody, who was born January 17, 2011, has Spina Bifida.
He has had 10 surgeries this year, and spent about 16 weeks total in the hospital.
We are grateful to all of you who have been praying for Cody, his Mom, Dad and his two brothers. Please keep praying.
Through it all, he is a very happy, easy going baby and has brought his family great joy.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
At Hope Ministries we are seeing many people with prescription drug addictions, depression and of course, financial problems. We know that God uses these and other problems to bring us to the end of ourselves and to dependence on Him.
Watching God at work Healing Hearts, brings Phil 4:6-7 alive!

I completed two series of ten Seminars at local churches. The Seminars were well received. I am praying for specific direction of the Seminars and the ministry the Lord might do through me.

I’ve continued as Fire Chaplain at Indialantic Fire Rescue: something I feel the Lord will desire for me to continue. We have 7 paid fire rescue workers and about 25 volunteers. Our department will take delivery of a new ladder truck soon. Please pray for our Chief Jon Macdonald who had a serious arm fracture at an emergency call and is in the healing process.
Bless you all at this season of Christ's birth!

God’s Peace is our promise provided through the life Jesus gave us. Whenever we feel emotional pain we are being offered an opportunity to increase our freedom in Christ. The pain is a gift from God telling us it’s time to process past unresolved pain.
It’s up to us whether we seek intimate time with God for a personal answer or turn to our favorite idol for temporary relief from the pain. If you are suffering with emotional pain from an unknown source, it’s likely you need help. TPM can help by leading us to the unresolved pain and connecting with Christ in that experience. We are available to assist you on your journey.
Angel Tree 2011 is almost completed. It’s been a tremendous amount of work, and a real blessing at the same time. We would like to thank all those who participated to ensure that nearly 1,000 children in Brevard County received Christmas gifts from their incarcerated parent.

In the world of addictions not much has changed, from the beginning of 2011 to now. The wave of addicted people dying, committing suicide or simply dropping out of life has continued to intensify and grow. The drugs are more available then ever on the street today. The good news is there are quite a few people who started out the year addicted to pain pills and today they are not only clean and sober; they are growing in their recovery and in their relationship with Christ. A young mother who had all but given up on her family and her life, on the streets for the past year walked into my office in June. Today she is reunited with her family, holding down a job and has been drug free ever since that first day. She endured a few weeks of drug sickness before she came out on the other side of detox, beaten and tired but ready to put her life back together again. Today she no longer lives for the pills, she lives for Jesus.

Next month a lady I had been working with will be graduating from His Mansion’s program. She went there last January and will be completing the program next month. It was exciting to see the growth in her life every time I went up to New Hampshire for meetings. I watched God not only soften her heart but He also won it in the process.

Next month I will be resuming the addictions courses at Hope Ministries on Thursdays. These are Christ-centered courses on addictions study. They are powerful classes that I have seen God use to move people further along in their recovery. I recommend these courses for anyone who has been in recovery for six months or more. Some of my students will take the classes for credit and others will audit the class for their own recovery. If you or anyone you know are interested in learning more about addictions or how to counsel the addicted call me so that we can secure you a place in the class. Our next addictions study class will be starting on January 12th. Our classes run from 5:30 to 7:00 pm every Thursday at Hope Ministries.

As another year draws to a close, we would like to thank our volunteers for their love, devotion and dedication to the staff of Hope Ministries and all those we serve. We appreciate their years of service and pray for them always.

Blessing Opportunity: Recycle your old computers at Hope Ministries

If you replaced your home or office computer over the Christmas holidays we would love to put your old computer to work. We often have people come through our doors who could put a used desktop or laptop computer to good use. If you drop them off you can be a blessing to someone.

Please join us on January 15, 2012 for our…… SECOND ANNUAL FUND RAISER …
