JANUARY 2014 NEWSLETTER

Feb 5, 2014

Here we are at another New Year 2014, and we rejoice in the state of readiness, He has us in, as a ministry of His heart. We continue to pray for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. We give thanks for all He has done; is doing, and will do through our surrendered lives unto Him. May He receive all the Glory, Honor, Power, and Praise through all our Ministries.
I believe this year is going to be a year of many choices of “GREAT PRICE” for our country and for each individual. I do know
we live in a land of awesome freedoms with awesome responsibilities to our families and to our country. 1 Corinthians 6:12 “Everything is permissible for me”, but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me” , but I will not be mastered
by anything. This is a good time to take stock on what is really important to you, so when the time of choice comes you will already know where you stand, and then stand firm. Readied by knowing where your life comes from and to whom you are responsible. Romans 13: 11 The hour has come for you (us) to wake up from our slumber because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. We, as Christians before us, face the same challenges today; those of doubt, discouragement, fear, guilt, division, rejection and complacency. We at HOPE MINISTRIES are fully equipped and readied to help you with the power of the HOLY SPIRIT to be the over comer you already are. May this new year be your year to walk with HIM in Victory. Romans 15: 13 May the God of Hope fill you with all Joy and Peace as you trust in HIM, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT….. Thank you all, for your assistance last year, as we move onto a GREATER NEW YEAR READIED WITH HIS LOVE FOR YOU! In Christ, Joe

Thank you Lord for today! Thank you Lord that I have this day in you. For this is the day the Lord has made so let me rejoice and be glad in it. This is Psalms 18:24 in the Bible which is the Christians blueprint of this life in Our Heavenly Father. For those who have been touched by this scripture, it is a truth that today is the day you let your light shine to others. Today is the day that you live and allow your fruit to be picked by those who the Lord sends into your day. The Bible lists the fruit in Galatians 5: 22. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I thank God that today He has me at Hope Ministries for a purpose and plan. He has equipped me with what I need to minister to those He sends to me here.
Listening and praying as people share their life and circumstances allow the Holy Spirit to touch the meeting and that changes everything. Also, the peace of mind for them to know that there is no charge for services which is a wonderful blessing of this ministry. Hope Ministries will celebrate 20 years this year of 2014. The Lord ordained it and He continues to supply the needs of this ministry through prayers and donations and we are grateful to Him for sending dedicated volunteers who give of themselves with no monetary compensation but a heavenly compensation. The Lord rewards those who diligently seek Him.
God Bless you this day.

Winter is noticeably with us, along with sniffles and sneezes and talk of flu cases. My holidays were peppered with grandchildren and great grandchildren coming and going at unusual times, which amounted to a lot of fun and exhaustion.
I’m glad to be back to a normal schedule.
The winter months sometimes cause us to become more aware of tension in our homes, depression and other upsets. Our heavenly Father makes provision for all of our needs and greatly desires that our lives and homes be peaceful and safe, physically, spiritually and emotionally. Isaiah 26; 3 states, “Thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusts in thee.” Verse 4 states, “Trust ye in the Lord forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”
We at Hope Ministries are available to listen and help in any way appropriate. God’s love is here for you in many ways. We greatly appreciate your prayers and financial support. Praying for you every good and perfect gift our Father has provided for us in Jesus Christ.

Have you ever heard people quote this saying when you were having a difficult day or going through hard times?
“God will never give you more than you can handle.” This is the way they usually quote it. That quote comes from
1Corinthians 10:13, but it is miss quoted and taken totally out of context. That particular verse is referring to temptation and not trials. When it comes to trials God absolutely will give us more than we can handle. Let me explain: When the apostle Paul was in Asia he and his team went through hell. Here are his words: 2 Corinthians 1:8~9 We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
While they were serving God they went through a living hell and it seemed that God allowed that to happen to them. The last part of verse 9 gives us insight as to why it happened and what Paul and his team learned through it. Their need for God was heightened and their trust in God grew as a result of their hellish experiences in Asia.
Most of the people coming into my office are in the middle of their nightmare experience. They are trying to manage their lives apart from God. They are addicted to drugs or alcohol. God loves them too much to allow them to succeed so He piles the trials on until they are finally willing to surrender. God uses their trials to wrestle them to the ground and get their attention. He is always willing to set them free from their addiction but He won’t do it as long as they are in control.
Both of my children were lifeguards as well as swimming instructors when they were in high school. They were taught to carefully approach the drowning victim from behind to avoid getting pushed under by the person needing help. When the drowning victim stops fighting the rescuer can then bring him ashore.
In the same way I have to wait until the addicts have exhausted all their resources before I can present Christ to them. Some are so against God that they would rather fight and die rather than surrender to Him. To these people all I can do is tell them to go out and continue to do research and come back when they are ready to receive the tools I have to give them. Some come back but many die searching. I simply pray that their addictions will break them and not kill them. I have had to attend more funerals than I can count in the past 30 plus years of ministry to the addicted. So my constant prayer for the addicted is that God would succeed to break them so that He can set them free from their addictions. Would you join me in praying for the addicted that they would experience God’s love and power in this life?

THE WORD
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10: 25
