?TO GOD BE THE GLORY?
?Great Things He Has Done?
PRAISE BE UNTO OUR JESUS !!!
He is awesome in all He is doing. Don?t you just love the Fruit of His Holy Spirit as life? We are approaching the
Holiday Season, you know, the ones based on God?s life that we Honor; such as Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Many get weary trying to meet the expectations of loved ones, and don?t forget the expectations of the worldly system.
Why not take stock this year determining what is important for you and your family, and lovingly forget the rest.
Remember the real important point is to ?Believe? in Him, and the rest will happen. In the Gospel of John 16:33, He said
?I have told you these things (Believe in Him) so that in me you may have Peace. In this world you will have trouble, but
Take Heart! I have overcome the World!? Jesus? words are awesome, life for those who Believe!
We are looking forward to a New Year, with a new provision from God, as we minister to all He sends without restrictions,
but to love all through Him. ?Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs
up; do you not perceive it? Isaiah 43: 18-19
We at Hope are thankful for your prayers and support this year, through very difficult times.
Thank you so much for Helping Hearts Heal! In Christ, Joe

OUR NEXT CLASS IS: COUNSELING PRACTICES PART 1 (15 CEU's)
This course serves as Part 1 of a step-by step approach to treat clients with substance use and abuse issues. While many students want to jump right to the counseling stage, several steps must be performed including screening, assessment, and treatment planning before counseling can even begin. Each of these areas will be detailed with specific steps, which fall into the total scope of practice for the addiction professional, including an emphasis on proper documentation.
BEGINNING: December 3rd, 2009 WHEN: THURSDAY'S 5:30PM - 7:00PM
WHERE: HOPE MINISTRIES 1805 CANOVA ST. SE, STE 1, PALM BAY, FL 32909
GROW HOUSE
A new year is just around the corner and a new venture is preparing to start up. I have recently appropriated a house in Palm Bay that had been in foreclosure. My plan is to fix it up and open it up as a Christ-centered ?Grow house.? I know what you are thinking? No, I will not be growing ?marijuana? under heat lamps in the house. I will, however, be growing people in recovery into sold out Christ followers. Lord willing I will be opening it up in January to males in recovery who want to live in a drug, alcohol and tobacco free environment. The men living there will need to be willing to submit to periodic drug testing and will need to meet with me weekly in a group setting as well as one-on-one. This will not be a drug treatment program for people coming off the street; but rather a follow-up for people coming out of a drug treatment program.
I have enough resources to fix the house up and get it prepared for residents. Where I lack, however, is in having enough money to fill the house with furniture. I am looking for living room, bedroom and other odds and ends to fill the house and make it homey. If you or anyone you know has some furniture they don?t need please put them in touch with me. (Lew: 321-508-7603) I would never turn away a donation to help make it possible to purchase the needed furniture. Most of all, My desire is to eventually have four or five of these grow houses so I can better help Christians in recovery by supplying them with a Christ-centered recovery environment to live and grow in. I covet your prayers more than your support as I venture out in this new ministry opportunity.
Because of Christ, Lew Gervais

TOM & BARBARA MURGATROYD

At this time of year, Gateway?s focus is on Prison Fellowship Angel Tree. What is Angel Tree? Angel Tree starts with a gift and leads to lives transformed by Christ. There are over 800 children in Brevard County alone that have a Mom or Dad in prison.
These children are among the most at-risk in the nation. Angel Tree seeks to transform the lives of these families and reconcile them to their Heavenly Father and each other. This begins with Christmas gifts for the children, in the names of their incarcerated parent. Angel Tree provides an opportunity to connect and minister to these families at Christmas and continues through a variety of year-round ministry opportunities. As Brevard County Coordinators for Angel Tree, we would like to thank all the churches who have participated to date. Please consider Angel Tree as a mission for your church next year. These children need your Help! For more information, call Tom Murgatroyd at Hope (321) 676-5588 or email: hopeministriesfl@gmail.com

MAX AHLGREN
I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Hope Ministries. Jesus has brought tremendous healing in my life and now I have the great honor to share that comfort with those that still struggle. God used healing prayer through Theophostics and the encouragement of His precious servants to lead me into the Father?s joy. The message of freedom in Christ from the lies we believe is changing lives each day. What a blessing to see these miracles happen in my life and in the lives of others as He takes us from Glory to Glory. As an introduction into Theophostic Prayer Ministry, here?s a short quote from the TPM Manual:
Principle 1: Our Present Situation Is Rarely the True Cause of Our Ongoing Emotional Pain.
It is easier to blame what we feel on others and what is happening in our life than to own it as our own responsibility. Yet emotional pain in day-to-day life is seldom solely caused by what is happening in the present situation. Instead, our circumstances
stir up painful lie-based thinking, the false beliefs we learned during past life events.
If we blame our present situation for emotional pain coming from an earlier event, we will be trapped in an irresolvable cycle of distress and defeat. Believing that other people or circumstances are the cause of our emotional upheaval empowers them to control
us emotionally until they change. When we find freedom from the lie-based thinking held in our memories, we will no longer be stirred up by it and can walk in peace.
If you or a loved one find yourself wasting energy on blame or affected by triggers from the past, give us a call to set up receiving prayer ministry. For many, Theophostic Prayer Ministry has brought the freedom in Christ they sought for many years.

We minister one-on-one and in small groups, to people who struggle with relational, marital, and emotional problems;
as well as people who struggle with life controlling addictions.
We help individuals, and churches through pastoral counseling, support groups, classes, training and seminars. For more information see our website at www.hopeministriesflorida.org, or call (321) 676-5588.
