PRAISE JESUS!
What a wonderful time to be alive in a world of
uncertainty. As our country is scrambling to come forth
with a new President; I can be assured of my greatest gift,
the “Gift of Life” from above. Our place at Hope Ministries
is founded on our ability to walk through humanities
problems honoring His life. This is our focus at Hope to
help the broken hearted to find life through the Son. We
expect to find battles and we appreciate your willingness
to come alongside us as we continue to persevere through
this year of 2008. Please be assured you will be welcomed

MINISTRIES FOCUS
Fire and Workplace Chaplainry
Chaplain Joe Pellizze & Chaplain Richard S. Phelps
Presently the major thrust of this ministry is to the Fire
Service.
The goal is a Chaplain's Service for management and
employees in a work environment.
To provide the workplace a chaplain, in the tradition of
military, fire & police chaplainry.
The service is offered without charge to the employer and
their employees.
Night Songs Ministries
ALICE THISTLE
PURPOSE: Give hope, help and dignity to women and children
in crisis and/or transition.
VISION: Night Songs is a faith-based, charitable
organization that encourages and supports programs serving
women and children, who are homeless or at risk of it.
MISSION: To encourage development of faith-based programs
offering a comprehensive range of services to women and
children, that will enable them to become productive
members of society; providing mentoring&social services to
women at risk.
Addictions Counseling Training

Addictions Counseling Training; Continuing Education
classes are provided through the Net Training Institute
at Hope Ministries
Facilitator training seminars are offered in order to
help churches enter into the mission field of the walking
wounded and addicted people suffering all around us
Support Groups: Currently we are hosting the Conquering
Codependency Group and Shelter from the Storm; A Sexual
Abuse
Recovery Support Group
Christ-Centered 12 Step Recovery Groups
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
JOE, LEW, LOUIE, LUCY, ALICE, DICK
Hope's trained Biblical and Addictions Counselors provide
one-on-one private and confidential sessions. An intake
evaluation process determines what services are necessary
and who will facilitate them. This ministry includes a
family focus.
•Intervention: Assisting individuals, families and
businesses at times of crisis.
•Encouragement: Providing compassionate
support&encouragement.
•Biblical Counseling: Offering private and group support
for healing and growth.
•Referrals: Providing resource information and facilitating
referrals.
•Teaching: Instructing individuals and groups with
life-giving truths of Christianity
•Training: Facilitating skills of compassionate care for
Christian leaders and recovery ministries.

A GREAT 2008~~BE A PARTNER IN HOPE TO “HELP HEARTS HEAL”
It is already February and the work at HM to “Help Hearts
Heal” is well underway. God is to be Praised for He is the
Great Physician! We will be busy this year with new
projects and opportunities to reach out to our community
here in Brevard County, Florida. Please mark your calendars
and pray for us as we prepare for the following exciting
efforts.

Tuesday, March 11, 2008 - Our first bi-monthly
Informational & Inspirational Luncheon. (12:00 – 1:30 @ HM)
Open to invited guests who are in need of Hope or those
interested in Hope Ministries.
Friday, April 11, 2008 – Workshop & Luncheon
“Suffering in Silence” Hidden Head & Brain Injury in
Victims of Domestic Violence @ The Hilton Rialto
10:00-2:00.
Guest Trainer – Jenny Johnstone-Smith ~Tickets are $45.00
•August 2008 - The Music of HOPE – A Talent Contest and
Concert of local Christian performers who will compete in a
competition in search of Brevard County’s, “Christian
Hopefuls.” Categories include Solo Vocalist, Praise Teams,
Solo Musicians, Worship & Expressive Dance. Churches refer
to us your musical best that minister while they perform!
This event promises be an exciting event & huge
undertaking.
We need help, so consider getting involved.

In closing, I need to inform you, our ministry family, that
Hope Ministries is in immediate need of your financial
support! Resource streams are few and support from has been
on the decline for the last 6 months. I am asking you to
please pray for God to move on His people to help us “Help
Hearts Heal!” As for me personally, if Hope Ministries had
not been here 10 years ago; I would not be here today! God
used Hope to save my life and He will use Hope Ministries
to save many more lives from the throws of addiction,
physical abuse, emotional and spiritual pain.

The Local Church Spotlight
Hope Ministries would like to recognize and honor CHURCH ON
THE ROCK for its’ church ministry and continued support of
HOPE. Hope Ministries was launched in 1994 from an office
located inside Church on the Rock. CHURCH ON THE ROCK has
financially supported HOPE MINISTRIES and partnered with
us, by referring people to us who can benefit from our
services.
Church on the Rock graciously provides Hope Ministries with
the use of its’ large copy machine. This privilege enables
us to print our newsletter for just the cost of paper.
We are very grateful for our church family, Church on the
Rock and we pray that God continues to use them to advance
His Kingdom. If you or someone you know is looking for a

HOPE MINISTRY STAFF
Hope Ministries welcomes our newest missionary staff
member. Linda Dixon is our new Development Assistant and
Biblical Counselor. Her position will include being in
charge of website & news letter development. She will be
“Helping Hearts Heal” for Families and Friends affected by
Alcohol and Drug Addictions in those they Love and Female
Sexual Abuse Victims. Please keep Linda and all our Staff
in your prayers as we go forward to do God’s will.
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD CLOSING COMMENTS:
In the year since Joe Pellizze became President, a new turn
toward depending more on the wisdom and support of the Holy
Spirit has been introduced.
Recently Joe led us to spend a large portion of our Monday
in prayer for the purpose of seeking wisdom for the
ministry.
I heartily support this and feel confident that Hope
Ministries will know the will of God and follow Him for our
future.
