Biblical Counselor
Mary became a Christian at the age of twelve. She spent a lot of time in church, partially to escape a dysfunctional home. She has attended many different churches throughout the years and has found a few mature Christ followers in each. The Lord has been patiently leading her all the way.
Mary has ministered as a volunteer at Hope Ministries for many years. She assisted several of our pastoral counselors, as they counseled women. She assisted Louis Verini for many years and when he retired , she was asked to fill his position as a biblical counselor. She shared in ministering to his counselees and they were comfortable with continuing to see her. She sought the Lord's approval and believed this was His will for her life.
She is finding great joy in experiencing God's unconditional love, encouragement and spiritual direction for the women she counsels and more of that for herself, as she seeks Him. She feels that when she walks into her office, the Holy Spirit is going to show up and all will learn a new thing! She has also found that our Heavenly Father loves us with an everlasting love, no matter what our lives have been like thus far.
We live in a world that is broken in a million ways. There are more ways for people to be broken, than there are people. The only beauty to be found in this devastation is when we are crushed, some of us come see that we need "Someone" bigger than ourselves to heal our brokenness. Only then can the process begin that ultimately creates the "life" our Father intended ! In Jeremiah 29, He assures us that he has wonderful plans for us, and we certainly don't want to miss them.
Mary is available for spiritual encouragement on Monday afternoons and all day on Tuesday's.
