CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Our classes provides training in, Addictions Counseling, Prevention and Recovery Support Management using sound curriculum that is both Christ-centered as well as State Certified for licensing.. Anyone in the nursing or social services fields can take these classes to meet the obligation for their yearly continuing education requirements. These classes can also be used to strengthen organizations or ministries by enhancing leadership training, improving and honing skills and improving the level of ministry by helping leaders to become a licensed Certified Addictions Professionals.

Our classes follow the style of (cluster groups) meaning that we meet together in a small group setting in order to work through the syllabus together. Anyone becoming a cluster member at Hope Ministries will receive the benefit of a hefty discount on their tuition.

OUR NEXT CLASS IS: COUNSELING PRACTICES PART 1 (15 CEU's)
This course serves as Part 1 of a step-by step approach to treat clients with substance use and abuse issues. While many students want to jump right to the “counseling” stage, several steps must be performed including screening, assessment, and treatment planning before “counseling” can even begin. Each of these areas will be detailed with specific steps, which fall into the total scope of practice for the addiction professional, including an emphasis on proper documentation.
